Hamlet

Using a minimalist approach, Hamlet is presented by the Danish theatre company Det Lille Turnetheater. I am really excited at the prospect of seeing this, my favourite of all Shakespeare’s tragedies enacted by 4 actors and 2 double basses in less than 90 minutes! Drag along your philistine children, friends or neighbours on Monday 17 March at 7.30pm and take credit for (and pleasure in) their excitement at seeing great drama on a little stage.

Tickets for the performance are only £8.00 (£10.00 on the day).To book tickets or to find out more information call Theatr Harlech on 01766 780887 or call in to the Box Office.

Not Suitable for Under 10s

Created in 1999, Denmark’s Det Lille Turnéteater’s HAMLET has won awards and praise:

“The narrative is kept amazingly intact. You’ll be astonished (but delighted) to see how much of the four hour original that is kept in this brisk 75-minute reduction... recommended for all the young - the young in age, the young in mind and the young in spirit” Toronto Star

“This is not merely good theatre for youth, but theatre for youth that borders on the great.… This may be a simple production, but it is the kind of simplicity that only great talent dares employ. Shakespeare, I think, would have been impressed.” Toronto Sun
